Installing Gentoo Linux on Dell Inspiron 9300

Last updated: 06-21-2005

I recently got my new Laptop, the Dell Inspiron 9300. Since I already had Gentoo on my old Inspirion 8000 and on my homeserver, I decided to install it as well on my new one. For gaming purposes I still have Windows XP installed, but for everything else I want to use Gentoo. So far I've managed to get everything I need up and running. There are still some unresolved issues with the hardware I don't regularly use (Bluetooth, SD-Card, IEEE1394). I plan on resolving this as soon as I get a device that uses these interfaces.
